Trend is a policy journal looking at the facts, issues, and opinions that shape our world. As the lead designer to Trend, I worked with a team of editors to create the first forty-five page issue. I crafted a template embodying styles, grid, and rules for layout. My responsibilities also included typography, illustration, photo selection, and data visualization.

I worked closely alongside the creative director to refresh the brand and develop one overall look for the organization. I worked on creating templates for things such as reports, briefs, factsheets, interactives, and signage. I chose typefaces and color palettes. I set styles for charts, graphics, and maps, and developed a series of eco-friendly icons to be used on printed materials.

The Pew Charitable Trusts works with Indigenous people, scientists, conservation organizations, industry, and government agencies to conserve Australia’s critical natural landscapes and marine habitats. I created a two part series of books, about 300 pages each, for the Outback team. My responsibilities included adapting the template to a square format, designing and mapping over 50 maps, creating data visualizations, layout, photo selection, and working with the print vendor in Australia to produce the books.
